El pelotero Héctor Olivera, mejor beisbolista del mundo en 2010 según la Federación Internacional (IBAF), confirmó este lunes su regreso al deporte activo, reportó la agencia oficial Prensa Latina.

Olivera reveló su decisión de participar en la próxima Serie Nacional con el equipo de Santiago de Cuba y sus deseos de retornar a la selección nacional, tras recuperarse de una enfermedad que lo alejó de los terrenos durante casi dos años.

El jugador, de 28 años y subcampeón olímpico en Beijing-2008, asistió al II Clásico Mundial, disputado en 2009.
